Cliona McDonald, a talented singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, is set to return to the Folly Festival on Friday, July 4th, after her wonderful debut at last year’s event. 

Cliona is proficient in six instruments: harp, piano, flute, tin whistle, banjo, and guitar. Her impressive musical journey includes participating in the Junior Eurovision and the Pan Celtic Festival in 2016 and 2020, as well as winning the Forás na Geailge’s Cómortais BEO in 2019, where she composed music and lyrics as Gaeilge.

Cliona has also competed and won prizes in numerous County, Regional, and All-Ireland Fleadhanna Cheoil. She had the honor of singing with Seán Keane, performing in front of Louis Walsh at Vicar Street auditions, and released her debut single, “That Doesn’t Scare Me.” She has a degree in Music and Business from TUD, and Cliona also offers private traditional music tuition to both young people and adults.
